2024 RC aircraft
3D printed RC aircraft manufacturing and flight.
This aircraft was not my original airframe design, but I manufactured it, assembled the printed structure, integrated the RC hardware and used it as a practical learning project in flight hardware and printed structures.

Printed structure observations.
The project was useful because it forced me to think about print orientation, stiffness, assembly, adhesives/tape, servos, control surfaces, centre of gravity and the difference between a CAD-looking airframe and an airframe that can actually fly.

Manufacturing reality.
Printed aircraft parts are light, thin and sensitive to small setup decisions. The project strengthened my intuition for tolerances, surface finish, weight distribution and how printed polymers behave in real loading.
